Here are the early LoL Patch 14.19 patch notes

This is one of the biggest patches for season 14.

The 2024 League of Legends World Championship patch is now behind us, which means we can focus on all the huge Season 15 preseason changes coming in League Patch 14.19—and let us tell you what, there’s some whoppers this time around.

This chunky League update is focusing around a “Champion Emphasis” theme, as explained by Riot Games heading into the 14.19 testing run, with all 119 Legendary and endgame items being impacted by the sweeping changes. There are a few champions also being tweaked, including K’Sante (who’s getting yet another mega rework), Elise, and Varus, but overall the patch is all centred around these items and how heavily they’ll be nerfed.

It’s also slowly creeping up to that time of year when Halloween takes over, which means new Fright Night skins (and the Worlds 2024 skin) will be added to the store too.

When will LoL Patch 14.19 go live?

League Patch 14.19 went live on Wednesday, Sept. 25, as confirmed by Riot’s official 2024 League patch schedule. When this whopping update does arrive, it’ll roll out in stages through the major playing regions.

Here are the key patching times for Patch 14.19:

  • 3pm CT (NA)
  • 5am GMT (EU West)
  • 3am CET (EU North East)
  • 8am KR (Korea)

On update day, expect several hours of downtime. As always, ranked and casual matchmaking will be turned off across all League queues three hours before the update.

What’s in LoL Patch 14.19?

K’Sante under the hammer for (yet another) rework

K’Sante’s one of those champions who Riot has struggled to balance over the years. He’s near constantly picked in pro play, but falls short in ranked. To combat this, the League developers are taking yet another swing at him (his second this year, even) all the way down to his core stats. Every one of his abilities is being hit with changes and if all goes well, he’ll become a great tank for top lane in ranked and pro, but won’t be the “be all, end all” pick.

Reworks galore as Tristana gets stat one too

Not to be outdone, iconic Yordle gunner Tristana is also getting some major changes across her base League stats and all four of her abilities. Riot’s objectives with her 14.19 changes is to get her winning games again—she’s down to a 45 percent victory-rate—and focus more item buying over simply slurping up experience to hit her power spikes.

Over 100 Legendary items heavily nerfed

Riot has noticed players emphasizing items over champions, with many champs using the same builds and items. To combat this, every single endgame item will the MOBA will have its power reduced by as much as 15 percent. By doing so, Riot hopes players will be more selective about champions and, as a happy aside, it may slow down game speed too.

Lethal Tempo back and better than ever (sort of)

Lethal Tempo, which was removed in Patch 14.10, is returning with a few changes. Essentially, you won’t be getting as much bonus attack speed from the stacks, but you’ll be gaining adaptive damage based on your bonus attack speed. You will still gain a stack for six seconds for basic attacks against enemy champions, and this still has a max stack limit of six.

There are some limits, including how much bonus attack speed you get through stacks, though there’s adaptative damage added in to make up for the changes there.

Goodbye Arena, hello Spellbook

Arena has beens super fun, but it’s time to say goodbye as we welcome in not-so-new but certainly improved Ultimate Spellbook, which has more of a focus on ultimates. In this buffed mode, you get more ultimates, quicker cast times, and faster matches.

Turrets and their attacks get a visual upgrade

Turrets are getting several major visual upgrades on the heels of their power boost in Patch 14.18, with most of the changes designed around making animations smoother. Attack orbs are bigger and brighter, buffing the look of the turret, and then reducing the expansiveness of on-hit visuals. All of this is only cosmetic though, with no real buffs.

Six new spooky skins to join the Fright Night collection

Six new Fright Night skins are being added to the frightening Halloween skin line. This year’s Fright Night designs are mostly blue and black, with darker vibes than earlier versions. On top of the spooky batch, a Worlds-themed Viego skin also sneaking in this update.

These are the Fright Night skins making their way to the store:

These skins will go live in the Patch 14.19 cycle.
